The ExploRail research program (2012 – 2017) is a collaboration between railway manager ProRail and the Netherlands Organisation for Scientific Research. ExploRail’ main goal is reducing the vulnerability of the Dutch railway system to disruptions, by working together with all various stakeholders involved. Please enjoy the documentary at Youtube.

Special subjects of the program were advanced monitoring and management of intelligent rail infrastructure, smart railroad maintenance with the aid of stochastic models, detection and diagnosis of railway track short wave anomalies, development of high-performance rail through intelligent metallurgy and engineering, smart information and decision support for railway operation control centres.
